Is MPO Online Safe? Are my accounts secure?

MPO Online uses a Secure Socket Layer (SSL). SSL provides authentication to ensure that you are always in communication with a MPO Online server. It also provides encryption that scrambles the data transmissions to prevent them from being read by others. Additionally, SSL is used to ensure data integrity, confirming that any data transmitted to you by MPO Online has reached you without being altered or tampered with. If SSL Detects any alterations or tampering to data, the connection is broken.

When you are in an encrypted portion of MPO Online, and using Netscape, an image of a key appears solid with a blue background in the lower right hand corner of the browser window. This means that the browser is secure.

With Microsoft Explorer, you will see a padlock in the lower right corner of the browser window. When you are on an encrypted portion of MPO Online, the padlock appears in yellow.

How current is the information I obtain from MPO Online?

The account balances and information that you see online are the same balances and information that we see here at the credit union. When viewing your accounts, in particular those members who are viewing their share/draft balances, keep in mind any outstanding checks or check card transactions that may not have cleared your account. Any purchases that have been paid for with your check card are deducted from your account balance immediately but may not be posted to your account for several days. While MPO Online is a useful tool, keeping a check register, logging your ATM or check card purchases, and balancing your account regularly is the only sure way to keep an accurate account balance.

If you are using MPO Online Bill Payment Service please note that payment transactions entered after 2:00 pm EST will not be processed until the following business day. Funds must be available in your share draft account. OVERDRAFT LINES OF CREDIT AND SHARE PROTECTION ACCOUNTS ARE NOT ACCESSIBLE THROUGH BILL PAY. If you require an advance on your LOC, please contact your branch for assistance. Please note - Merchants periodically change their payment addresses. Before making payment, please verify that the address printed on your bill matches the merchant address listed on MPO Federal Credit Union Online. PAYMENTS MAILED TO INCORRECT ADDRESSES MAY RESULT IN DELAYED PAYMENTS AND ADDITIONAL FEES CHARGED TO YOUR ACCOUNT.

Can I import the information from MPO Online into Microsoft Money or Quicken programs?

Yes, you can download your Account History into Microsoft Money or Quicken programs. The downloaded file can be initiated from the Account Summary/Account History screen.

  • Note: Microsoft Money and Quicken programs are NOT a supported product of MPO Online. Any questions or problems pertaining to these specific applications should be directed to the manufacturers of these products.
